Webinar: Ambulance Riding Librarian   The April Disaster Information Specialist webinar will be held Thursday, April 11, 2013. The meeting is open to anyone wishing to attend. The topic is "TheAmbulance-Riding Librarian: How Embedded Informationists Help the Responder Community," featuring Kacy Allgood. She was a very popular presenter at the recent Disaster Communication Summit!  In 2012, Kacy Allgood was awarded the Sewell Fellowship for embedded librarians. She currently provides information services to Indianapolis EMS (the largest 911 ambulance service in Indianapolis), the Indiana University Department of Emergency Medicine, MESH (a disaster preparedness coalition), and Indiana Emergency Medical Services for Children. All of these agencies collaborate to provide evidence based pre-hospital care for Indianapolis.
